Aileen Anne Brannigan – Stonecarver

Carving Sculpting & LetterCarving In Stone

My Stonecarving studio workshop is situated in the lovely setting of the Estate Yard in the Discovery Park, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny.

Here I work on a wide variety of stone carving projects, Public Art Commissions, commemorative work, Memorials, Garden features and sculptures.

I mostly work to commission or create work for exhibition.

I specialise in hand carving lettering in stone using a hammer and chisel working in traditional methods but working in my own unique style, drawing all my lettering by hand to suit each individual project.

Hi Aileen. I have been carving stone, mostly lettering, for almost 20 years. I trained with Belinda Eade in London, and have been back in Ireland since 2001. I saw a poster today for your upcoming exhibition of the work of the Guild members at St Enda’s. I’d love to find out more about the guild, and will be sure to have a good look at the work in St. Enda’s.
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Best regards,
    Ciaran Byrne

      Hi Cieran
It is really great to hear from you! The opening is Wednesday evening at 7, do come along if you can. We are a very small guild and it would be brilliant to have a new member. I am a bit busy at the moment getting ready for the exhibition. But please phone me when it is all over 0877710248. Or if you make it to the opening please speak to some of us
